Now, Kennedy? Really? This about sums it up. “What is Justice Anthony Kennedy’s legacy? It might very well amount to dust. And it seems he’s fine with that.”
Union no. On the bright side (where I’m always looking), Kennedy was already in the can for lo the many forces hell-bent on making life harder for working people than it needs to be by empowering rent-takers, corporations and fiends to rip workers off while eradicating the concept of “good job.” So whichever Federalist Society wingnut Trump picks won’t be much of a change on that score. Meantime, leading the Current this morning, Jeniffer Solis rounds up Nevada reaction to the latest assault in the court’s ongoing jihad against working people. America, take note: Nevada law allows free riders; Nevada also has one of the strongest and most effective unions in the nation.
But maybe a little good news on the job front? The Current continues to examine Nevada’s first year of legal weed. Today: More employers are eschewing marijuana drug tests, Dana Gentry reports.
Seriously, I’m travelling and have meetings and stuff for which I have not prepared (typical) so this is all the Daily Current you get today.
Good luck
