Governor-elect Steve Sisolak announced his full, 28-member transition advisory committee Tuesday.
“I have pledged to be a governor for all of Nevada and I have worked to make sure my transition team captures the diversity this state holds,” Sisolak said in a statement. “Every member of this team brings a unique experience and view to the table and together, they will help me as I build an administration. By bringing people together from day one, we can deliver real solutions for Nevada families.”
The team includes former Nevada Assemblyman Nelson Araujo, Communities in Schools CEO Dr. Tiffany Tyler, Reno Sparks Indian Colony chairman Arlan Melendez, Nevada System of Higher Education Chancellor Thom Reilly and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Joe Lombardo.
Michelle White, the former Deputy State Director of Hillary for Nevada, was named as the executive director of Sisolak’s transition team.
Earlier this week, Sisolak announced U.S. Rep Dina Titus would chair his advisory committee alongside Barbara Buckley, a former Assemblywoman and current executive director of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, who would serve as co-chairs.
“Dina, Barbara, and Hillary are incredible public servants who have always put Nevada’s families first,” Sisolak said. “I am proud to count these leaders as friends and to have them at the head of the table leading this committee.”
